His very name was the first of the “super” prefixed words that created the heroic vernacular used today. Superman’s seeming limitless power has enabled him to do practically everything from turning back time to altering the course of planets. As such, Superman is perpetually exercising restraint over his abilities - he never loses a battle due to lack of strength, only because he can’t immediately think of a solution that doesn’t include obliterating everyone and everything around him. It is this composure and conscience that makes him the figurehead of superheroism. |
