Omnivore’s 100
August 26th, 2008 by Josh
Here’s something on the lighter side! This is from an English web site on “eating and drinking”, which are two of my favorite things. I got it from the blog of a cyber-acquaintance, another Josh.

Below is a list of 100 things that I think every good omnivore should have tried at least once in their life. The list includes fine food, strange food, everyday food and even some pretty bad food - but a good omnivore should really try it all.
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at www.verygoodtaste.co.uk linking to your results.

I’m only at about 1/3. I think this is indicative of my distaste for seafood, organs and “unusual” meats. I’ll eat pretty much any fruit or vegetable, but I’m pretty picky about what I eat when it comes to animals. And yes, I had to look a number of these things up.

You must, must, must go to green city market and get yourself some good tomatoes. Go Saturday. Buy one or two tomatoes from every vendor that has them, or a pint of mini ones.
